Welcome to Princeton Women and femmes in Geosciences

The primary mission of the Princeton Women in Geosciences (PWiGS) initiative is to increase the retention and boost the morale of women and femmes in the Earth Sciences through the development of an active peer network and the fostering of mentorship. While we are Princeton Women in Geosciences, all of our events are open to everyone in the department, regardless of gender, and we hope to see many of you at our events!

Sign up to the PWiGs Listserv

Join us for some snacks and drinks and meet other PWiGS members! Social mixers are relaxed events where you can find out more about PWiGS, our upcoming activities, and provide feedback.

Sign up to join the program as a mentee and/or mentor. Assigned partners meet twice per semester, or more often if that suits you. Mentorship is mutually beneficial and leads to increased morale.

Volunteer to assist or run an outreach initiative. Past initiatives include Earth science-related demonstrations at middle and high schools in the Princeton area. If you have an idea, we’d love to hear it!

Join us for career related events such as panel discussions and Q&As with professionals from different career stages. We host events focussed on academic, industry, and federal career pathways.
